NVIDIA 4-Plus-1™ quad-core ARM® Cortex™-A15 Processing Unit

Tegra K1 boasts a quad-core Cortex A15 powerhouse inside it along with a third-generation additional core called battery-saver core. This additional core can take peak level performance without draining battery. It is harnesses NVIDIA’s variable Symmetric Multi-Processing (SMP) architecture, which activates all the four cores only when maximum burst is needed. Each individual core can get disabled or enabled according to the workload.

Performance test

The test was conducted by GSMArena using CPU-Z, on a Tegra K1 powered device (but no name of device published) with Android 4.4.2 OS. According to them, the device had 320ppi full HD display and4GB of RAM. Test results were very interesting. None of its rivals could reach even nearby it in
